Dogwood Lane Kennels is a small, family-owned dog and cat boarding facility and grooming salon nestled in the heart of Bremen, Ohio.

The 1200-square-foot boarding facility is fully equipped with heating and air conditioning, with 14 dog runs, 3 three-story kitty condos and two large, completely fenced-in play yards.

To help make your pet feel calm during their stay, the facility has Adaptil pheromone dispensers installed throughout. Adaptil is a safe, scientifically proven way to reduce stress in dogs as they adapt to the kennel environment.

The Pletchers are what you would call “animal people.”

Not only do they share their home with ten dogs, four cats, three alpacas, two quaker parrots, and a donkey, they also consider each of their boarders to be a part of their extended animal family.

Since 2013, Scott and Lyn Pletcher have been caring for pets professionally as Pet Sitters International certified pet sitters through Lyn’s Pet Posse. Certified in pet CPR and first aid, and up-to-date in modern, fear-free handling, you can always depend on Dogwood Lane Kennels to keep your pet safe and happy.

In 2018, the Pletchers purchased their 1200-square foot boarding facility with a mission to provide boarders with the same comforts they would receive at home. Scott, Lyn and their son Jarrod continue to care for all of God’s creatures, big and small, by treating each and every client as a member of their ever-growing family.

About Chester the Kennel Dog

When the Pletchers first met Chester, he seemed a little out of place. He was no longer a good fit for his previous owners, but they were worried about adding him to their established pack, plus they were having trouble managing his separation anxiety.

But Chester was family. They just had to find a way to help him.

So, they bought a boarding kennel. Here at Dogwood Lane Kennels, Chester has found his true calling. He spends each day welcoming newcomers, instigating playgroups, and overseeing day-to-day operations.
